Pastor's Pen

3 Months and Counting

It has been over three months since I entered this city and stepped into the sanctuary of Pleasant Green Baptist Church as your Senior Pastor-Elect. It is not easy to leave the familiar and step out on faith. For you, it is not easy to trust someone you barely know to lead. We are learning and growing together. I understand that God holds me accountable for everything that occurs on this spot of ground. My wife as your first lady and I as the set man for the house do not take this assignment lightly. With that being said, isn't God remarkable? Amid change, amid chaos, during sickness, and even in the midst of death, God is still allowing us to move together on this journey.

I thank God for the season pastors around me that I can talk to when necessary.  Yes, we are still excited about what God has in store for Pleasant Green. My wife as your first lady and I as the set man for the house do not take this assignment lightly. We truly love each of you and are seeking God for guidance every step of the way.

Now as we step into the fourth month, the Lord has a divine vision for Pleasant Green, which will take us higher in the Lord. I request that each one of you render a special prayer for the divine vision for Pleasant Green. Our God has been pouring out His vision that we must work together.

In about three weeks, we will have the installation service, which is an announcement to the world of what God has already done--the Lord called me here as your senior pastor and my wife as your first lady. What an Awesome God we serve!!!!

Just a friendly reminder that the colors for the installation are blue (navy blue), gold, and white, which has biblical significance as it relates to God.

  • Blue (Navy blue)It spiritually signifies the Healing Power of God. It is the most sublime subject and color which biblically represents the Word of God. . – Blue also represents: Heaven, the Holy Spirit, authority
  • Gold: symbolizes Glory, divinity, kingship, eternal deity, foundation, altar, beauty, precious, holiness, majesty, righteousness, Glory, divinity, kingship, eternal deity, foundation, altar, beauty, precious, holiness, majesty, righteousness. The value of God's Word, wisdom, and judgment, The pure foundation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, The sanctification or purifying of one's faith, The value of a person to GodThe deeds motivated by the love of God and love of our neighbor.
  • White: symbolizes Bride of Christ, surrender, harvest, light, righteousness, conquest, victory, blessedness, joy, angels, saints, peace, completion, triumph.

Also, know that my door is always open to you and any questions that you may have. I want the best for each of you, so you can be everything God has called you to be.

Sincerely,

Antonio Neely
